The Health Clinic at the Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine, located in Provo, is a multi-disciplinary medical facility dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare and health education. We offer a range of services, including primary care, women’s health, mental health and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Our clinic also serves as a hub for medical education, preparing future osteopathic physicians. Patients benefit from the extra attention and care provided through these unique learning opportunities.

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
Hawkins Mecham DO, treats patients at our office utilizing osteopathic manual medicine. He is a graduate of Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his intern year at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, New York and his Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal residency at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He is board certified in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Mecham has several years of experience working within medical education. In 2018, he worked as an adjunct instructor at Rocky Vista University in Ivins, Utah and he is currently working as part-time faculty for Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine in Provo, Utah. When he is not working, Dr. Mecham enjoys functional strength training and fitness, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
Dr. Nakkan brings extensive clinical and academic experience to his role as a family and neuromusculoskeletal medicine physician. He is a graduate of Rocky Vista University in Colorado College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Blessing Hospital and Southern Illinois University Center for Family Medicine in Quincy, IL, and a second residency in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He currently serves as Chair of Osteopathic Principles & Practices at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine. Drawing on his academic background, he enjoys bridging patient care and education, ensuring both patients and students benefit from a deeper understanding of health and wellness.

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
Dr. Barnhurst treats patients utilizing Osteopathic manual medicine. He is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his neuromusculoskeletal residency at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Barnhurst is passionate about empowering patients to take an active role in their care and improving their quality of life. His clinical interests include the mind-body interaction in chronic pain and exercise prescription for recurrent somatic dysfunction. In addition to his practice, Is currently working as a adjunct faculty at the Noorda College of osteopathic medicine in Provo Utah. He enjoys quality musculoskeletal care and installing hope into his patients to help them enjoy a better quality of life

Primary Care
Dr. Michael Rhodes brings over 25 years of experience in family medicine and medical education to his role as a primary care physician. He earned his MD from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency in Family Medicine in Rome, GA, before moving to Utah in 1998. Dr. Rhodes practiced full-spectrum family medicine with Intermountain Healthcare, serving as the Residency Program Director at Utah Valley Hospital for 17 years. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Rhodes has held leadership roles serving as Associate Medical Director for several hospital in the Utah Valley and currently serves as Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine. At the clinic, Dr. Rhodes is dedicated to providing patient-centered, comprehensive primary care while drawing on his extensive background to ensure the highest quality care for every patient.

Primary Care
Dr. Namealoha Hekekia was born and raised in Cedar City, Utah. After high school she went back to her roots and attended Brigham Young University-Hawaii where she double majored in Exercise and Sports Science and Hawaiian Studies. She is a graduate of the University of Utah School of Medicine and pursued further training in family medicine at the Utah Valley Family Medicine Residency Program. After residency, she returned to Hawaii and practiced at several rural community health centers and clinics and enjoyed serving the underrepresented and underserved. She currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Clinical Education and Faculty of Family Medicine at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine.
